2020 Club Rally Information



All you need to know about 2020 SC&CC rallies.

Your committee have planned the club rallies for 2020.  The finalised rallies are described for you below.

You may enquire about 2020 rally bookings.

PLEASE NOTE - The Rally Book shows that the Air Tattoo Rally runs from 15th - 19th July.  This is and error and should read 15th - 20th July

Some Guidelines

No calls to any committee member after 9pm please.


Rally slips and cheques to be sent to the Rally Officer (see rally slips for details).  All cheques to be made payable to SCCC. You can also telephone or email to book some rallies. Rallies requiring deposits should be booked in the normal way using a rally slip. BL car disc must be displayed on all rallies.  You should familiarise yourselves with all Association Rules in the rally book (pages 5 to 9).


Visitors: Adults (18yrs and over) wishing to stay in another member’s unit overnight on any Swindon Rally must be paid up members of the BL Association. A fee of £1 per person per night will be charged plus any charges made by the site.


Holiday Rallies:  A £30.00 per week non-refundable deposit is required when booking Holiday Rallies and full payment is required no later than 1 month prior to start of the rally.  Any balance not received by the due date will result in loss of holiday.


Weekend Rallies:  commence at 5pm on Friday. All slips must be received 14 days prior to rally commencement.  It may be possible to arrive early, but please check with the Rally Officer / Marshal first.  No arrivals before the Rally Marshal unless agreed with the Marshal, as the rally starts when the first unit arrives and lasts for 5 x 24 hrs from then.  Cheques will not be accepted on the rally, payment must be in cash only and paid on arrival.


Limited Rallies: Booking is essential.  Please remember to cancel if you are unable to attend in order to free up spaces.


Sound & Pets:  No noise after 11pm on all rallies except where stated otherwise.  Where dogs are allowed they must always be kept on a lead or tethered.  


Pup Tents:  One small pup tent allowed per unit unless otherwise specified.


Children:  Parents are requested to keep their children under control on all rallies and at all times


Personal generators:  are not to be used between 7pm and 10am, other than for medical reasons, and not left unattended and used with consideration for others. Please inform the Rally Officer / Marshals prior to rally.

This is new site for us and is an idyllic location for a quiet countryside escape. It is surrounded by incredible scenery with absolute tranquillity throughout. It is a working farm so plenty to do if wanted. There are two fantastic historic pubs within about 1/2 mile of the site that serve great food daily. There are many walking trails for all ages and abilities. The site is situated next to a village green which has safe and quiet children's play area. There are plenty of family filled fun farms and excursions locally to get involved in. Just a short drive away are Banbury, Stratford on Avon , Warwick and Leamington Spa.  


Route: From Swindon take the A419 toward Cirencester. Take the A429 to Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh and Halford.  After Halford take the B4455 (Fosse Way).  After 0.2mls turn right onto B4451.  1.7mls turn right onto Banbury Rd for approx 5.3mls then bear left onto Banbury and the Oxford Canal.  In 1.3mls turn right onto Old Road then in 320yds turn left into Batchelors Lane.    Look for SCCC signs

APRIL 30 - May 6



We return to this lovely site again after many requests. Bucklers Hard is set in the heart of the New Forest and is on the banks of the Beaulieu river just 3 miles from Beaulieu, which can be walked to along the river bank. The Bucklers Hard Village is a picturesque 18th century maritime village and makes an excellent venue from which to explore the beautiful National Park by foot, river or cycle.

The local picturesque towns of Lyndhurst and Lymington are close by.

Route:  M27 West, exit Junc. 2. Follow the brown and white tourist signs towards Beaulieu.  Beaulieu village follow the tourist signs to Bucklers Hard.  Look for SCCC signs.

Rally Fee: £15.00 per night. No electric, Own toilets required but the site toilet facilities in the village can be used during opening times.  This price includes admission to Village and Maritime Museum throughout your stay.

MAY 6th - 13th





This Camping and Caravan Club site straddles the Devon/Dorset border. It is 3 miles from Charmouth and the Historic Harbour of Lyme Regis which is the centre of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. There is a small shop. The site is clean and well run. The rally field is slightly sloping and not level as on their web site. See web site 


Route:  From A303 exit at Ilminster and take the A358 through Chard to Axminster. At Axminster take the A35 towards Charmouth (sp. Dorchester).  In 2.5 miles, just past the county border sign, turn left at the brown tourism leisure sign. Site is 300 yards on the left.  WARNING - The holiday park is about 1 mile west of Monkton Wyld. IGNORE ANY SIGNPOSTS TO THE VILLAGE OF MONKTON WYLD as the roads are steep, narrow and unsuitable for caravans.      Look for SCCC Signs.


Rally Fee:   £15.50 per night incl. electric. A £30.00 non refundable deposit is required with your rally slip and the balance by April 6.

MAY 21st - 26th  (Spring Bank Holiday)


OX14 3 HP


This is a new site for us and is located by the river Thames with just a short walk to local shops, bars and restaurants. This is an alternative rally for those that cannot have the holiday week.

Route:  From Swindon take the A420 towards Oxford. Turn right onto A415 sp. Abingdon.  Turn right onto A338 then immediately turn left back onto A415 to Abingdon. At Abingdon take the A415 south sp. Dorchester. Site on right after crossing over the Thames.  Look for SCCC signs.


Rally Fee: £8.50 per night. No electric.  Own toilet required

JUNE 26th - 28th

We return to this lovely site after a long absence.  A trout farm is

located in the village (just right for a BBQ).  We have use of the clubhouse throughout the weekend with skittles on Saturday night. 

Route: From Swindon take the A419 to Cirencester. Take the A429 sp Stow/Burford. Follow A429 Burford signs through 2 roundabouts and at traffic lights go straight on sp Burford B4425 for 6 miles through Bibury, site on right just past Aldsworth Road.   Look for SCCC signs.

Rally Fee:  £8.50 per night. No electric, Own toilet required.

JULY 15 - 20  



We visit this site again this year for the Royal International Air Tattoo. This is billed as the biggest air show in the world, so book early to avoid disappointment.  This year we have extended the rally which now starts on Wednesday until Sunday.  This will give the added opportunity of seeing some of those aircraft that are on display actually flying into the show.  This year we have free access to a bar over the weekend and there will be a small shop and takeaway available.  We have been able to keep the rally fees the same as previous years.

Route: From Lechlade take the A417 towards Cirencester. Turn left at the Shell Garage, sp Welford. Once in the village turn sharp left into Townsend Farm.  Look for SCCC signs

Rally Fee: £15.00 per unit per night. No electric. Own toilet required.

A non refundable deposit of £15.00 is required with rally slip and full payment required by June 15.  PLEASE BE AWARE NO BOOKINGS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A DEPOSIT.  NO ARRIVALS ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.

The site has used the field for 'seasonal pitches'.





By request we return to this beautifully kept site. It is close to Budleigh Salterton which has an old fashioned village atmosphere and a pebble beach.  Exmouth with miles of sandy beaches and the usual seaside attractions is only 4 miles away.  On site facilities include excellent toilet/shower blocks and a great play area for children.  Next to the site is an "off road" cycle path into Exmouth.  This rally coincides with the Sidmouth Folk Festival -

Route: From Swindon take he M4 then M5 to Junc. 30.  Take A376 Exmouth Road. At Clyst St George turn left onto B3179 turn right onto B3180/3179 towards Budleigh Salterton.  Turn left into Knowle village on B3178, go past the pub and village hall, at the top of the hill turn left into Bear Lane. Site on left after going over a railway bridge.  Look for SCCC signs.

Rally Fee: £25.50 per night Including electric.  A non refundable deposit of £30.00 per week is required with rally slip and balance due by June 25th.

AUGUST 28th - SEPTEMBER 4th  (Summer Bank Holiday)





This very popular full-facility site has again been booked for this year, although at a different time of the year.  

Route: M5 to junc. 27, then A361 to Barnstable.  In Barnstable follow the signs for the hospital taking the A39 towards Lynton. In approx.1 mile after the hospital turn left onto B3230 sp. Ilfracombe.  At the crossroads turn right onto A3123 sp. Stowford Farm Meadows. The site is approx 1.5 miles on the right.  Look for SCCC signs.

Rally Fee: £23.50 per night Including electric. A non refundable deposit of £30.00 is required with slip and balance due by July 28th

Annual General Meeting






The meeting will commence at 10.30 sharp as the room has to be vacated by 12 noon.  There will be hot and cold beverages and biscuits available from 10.15am.  The attendance of any member with spouse and or family will be very welcome and much appreciated.
